Since we're here, here is the face behind Rich Energy:

He is currently a director of a few other companies in the UK:

Rich Energy Racing Ltd - this company, formed in December, who have no accounts files but have pulled 30m GBP out of their beards
Rich Energy Ltd - The actual, active company whose last account filing is shown in the tweet above. Worth about 2.1 million in assets
Wise Guy Boxing - Seems to be doing nothing other than avoiding a winding-up order last year for failing to submit a return in 2016
Tryfan Technologies Ltd - Currently in liquidation, having been the subject of a winding-up order from Sky TV Germany, oddly enough

All four are registered to the same rent-an-office building in London. Seems like the sort of business who can save an F1 team...

This one might be related to his William Storey Management business, where he managed a couple of boxers and claims to have had clients in all forms of sport and entertainment, but without mentioning any names or going into specifics.

someone in control of F1 did money laundering. All I know is people involved with teams, like Shannon Group takeover of Forti Corse

That would be a decision for the administrators.

If there is no longer any penalty from FOM for missing a grand prix, then they might be inclined to do so. It would save expenditure on equipment, engines and salaries.

According to Joe Saward, the type of administration they're trying to set up means that they can keep trading and running during the process as the buyers of the assets will already be determined before the administrators are appointed.

Usually, it's the administrators who find the buyers.

So, the request for administration was submitted by Perez and backed by Mercedes and BWT, their title sponsor. Both Perez company and BWT showed interest in manage the team at this moment while Lawrence Stroll has been ruled out as a potential buyer.

I wouldn't be surprised if I see Ocon leaving the team in favor of Stroll's money still this season.

This is the weirdest twist to an F1 team running out of money that I've ever seen. Perez (through his sponsors) probably does have the budget to run the team, but what will Mercedes want? Which drivers are they looking for seats for these days?

It's weird how the team went from being pretty darn strong last season to now being in Administration :o

Even more weird how it seems to be another team and their own sponsor responsible, and not VJ.

Joe's Award wrote an article this morning claiming that the £30 million that Rich Energy were offering to FIF1 came from the owners of West Ham. Which goes a long way to explaining why the judge was not convinced yesterday.

Two of the other bidding parties (aside from Messers Marzipan and Stroll) are US-based hedge funds.

BWT weren't Doorbos's sponsors were they? I don't see how you can get your logo on the car then claim it was a 'loan'.

You can't, there's always been something dodgy about BWT I just can't put my finger on it, they're a bit like Coke and their SmartWater that's really just tap water shit, it strange how all these new start up companies suddenly have millions of quid available to sink into formula one teams, us plebs are obviously doing something wrong.

Geez, I don't know, 5-6 euros sounds much. Think about all the extra work it would cause to own an F1 team. Ain't nobody got time for that. Besides I don't want to outbit shady billionaires, could cause health issues.

I'll chip in a tenner for Strategy Group Representative.

A fair price for the opportunity to call Bratches a charlatan and Brawn a prostitute to their faces.

Unless I'm reading the various articles about the Force India situation wrong, the reason that the Administrators were brought in was to get Vijay Mallya out of the way and allow the team to get sold. Seems like he was rejecting the offers that were coming his way because he wanted more money.
