i would be curious to see today f1 race on old hockenheimring

- No retirements
- Passing only in the DRS zones, made almost impossible because the cars would all be de-rating by the end of the first straight
- Comedy DRS zone placement allows Grosjean to reach orbit from the Ostkurve

And not so much overtaking as the old track was way too narrow.

I was surprised at the gap Alonso left him.

Sainz just went left and gave him a wide open door. I know they're fighting each other in the midfield rather than Hamilton but still, at least not just jump out the way.

well if hamilton is planning to go LeMans like Alonso he is having some good experience of what it feels to drive an LMP1 in a pack of GT cars

Jesus, almost 25 km/h speed difference between Ricciardo and Alonso, with the same engine!

Oops, Ferrari have put Seb at (very mild) risk of Hamilton there.

Is Raikkonen out of sync with Vettel? I don't understand how he ended up in front.

Yep, this will be an interesting test for the team who made a point of not ordering him out of the way in Austria.

If they both have to stop again, then I expect Vettel will conveniently be called in first. I don't see how they can stage-manage this any other way.

Difference being Kimi was there on merit in Austria, now he's there because of a different strategy. Not sure why Ferrari are keeping him there tbh
