Might be around to watch this one, first time in a long time. Shame the Tuscc grid is so thin. Anyone know if the IMSA stream will work on a ps4?

There is no way in hell that I'm paying $80 per ticket to go watch PC and GTD. They've got to be on dope. If the Prototypes and GTLM cars were in attendance as well, maybe.

This is why I don't go to Lime Rock much anymore. So fuckin expensive. Only time I've been there in recent years was because a client gave me free tix as a thank you.

$80?? That's absolute madness. I really don't understand racetracks charging so much for admission. It's really short-sighted and doesn't help build a returning fan base for future years. Plus you can get more people in the door and make some more money back on concessions/beer with a lower ticket price.

I'll be there.

Ticket prices have been the same for like the past ten years. Nothing was worse than I think it was 2012(?) when the only division there was the ALMS without any supports.

$80? :8:

I could to go Bristol for the Cup race for cheaper (although not by much as the cheapest seats are $75 from what I saw) and those are pretty expensive compared to other tracks in the area (Charlotte/Darlington/Martinsville). VIR's prices are pretty bad too, as those are $65 bucks for the TUSCC GTLM/GTD race. I was considering about that race until I saw the prices (if I wanted to go VIR, I would wait a week later for K&N East/Prototype Lites, and only pay 10 bucks ;) ).

Hell, you could go to the Bristol races for free if I decide to give my tickets away. Lol. And, I am seriously considering doing just that.

It's not the money per se that I have an issue with, it's what I'm getting for that money. We went to the last real NE GP in 2013 when all the big boys were in attendance and had a great time. I didn't question handing over $160 for two tickets because I was getting P1 (depleted for sure, but still), P2, GTE Pro, GTE Am and PC plus some support races.

Charging the same price for the bottom classes that they did for the full series is a joke.

I thought about 10 years ago $80 was what it was for the whole weekend? Don't get me wrong, I love Lime Rock but I was going to go to the Cup race in NH last weekend for $30 a ticket and sit in pretty good seats in T1 but we decided to pass on it.

Yeah, I paid $88 for my weekend ticket this year.

So is it $88 for the weekend or $88 for one day? I work about 10 mins from the track and everyone up here is bitching like it's for one day. Idk, I haven't really looked into it.

1 day is $80, Weekend is $100 on Lime Rock's website. It might be cheaper if they have any promo codes or other sites selling them though (how I got my tickets for the TORC race at Charlotte for 60% off compared to gate price)

And that is only for 2 races in the entire weekend as well as they only have 1 support series (CTSCC)

My issue with Lime Rock is that the fans are somewhat left to the elements. When we went to the ALMS round in 2013 it was (admittedly a freak occurrence) 110f at times and the small patches of shade under the five or so trees were filled with people from the moments the gates opened (including a huge bunch of Dyson VIPs and hangers on with huge champagne picnic spreads taking up a lot of space - they were the worst people I've ever seen at a racetrack.) It was a shame as the track is great and there were some really nice photo opportunities there.

I'm just glad the Glen is in the NAEC so we don't have to worry about the grid being split up. I'd be pissed at having to pay all that for 2 races - the WGI weekend ticket for us (renewed year on year) was $55 for a ton of track activity.

It was probably $88 for advance sale for the weekend. The advance sale Saturday race day ticket was $66 I think. Still, too much for what you're getting in my opinion. This is not just a Limerock bitch either. There are A LOT of tracks that are charging an idiotic amount of money for what you get. The sanction fees demanded by some of the NE Regeional touring series are outrageous.
