RFH rocked. And their fan club was the best. Ripping up lamp posts to power huge bars and TVs. Porn tent included.

Just took a look at the eurosport schedule for the weekend. Looks like almost everything is going to be on eurosport (international) only 2 times they switch to eurosport 2 for 30 minutes, during the 24 minutes magazine. Thats great news... :)

Safety changes to the track, as posted in the Radio Le Mans facebook group

The Rockenfeller-spot (run-up after Mulsanne). For once, I don't disagree with them putting this down. It sometimes really gets way too tight there with the backmarkers.

Looks like the kerb is still steep enough so it won't be a legit shortcut, but good enough to use as an "escape lane" as such.

I'm always surprised that when they tinker with the track they don't change the oldschool barriers to something higher and more up to modern safety standards. Fastest part of the track (from Mulsanne to Indianapolis) is pretty much only covered by those barriers. How can they keep a car that is even little bit off the ground car from going straight to the forests?

Spoiler:

I hope for a flip/huge crash free week and race... there has been enough of those 15 mins of fames for this decade already. :D

ps.

If the 24 Minutes magazine is going to be 24 Horrible Minutes of Robbie Knock again... most amazing thing is that they keep showing it while the race (or incase of the practice on wednesday) is going on, albeit then the race is on ES2.

I have to be on call all week, which means I won't be home from later today until monday 24th. Hopefully there are some decent streams that I can watch on my laptop with my cell's connection. I don't know if the hotel has WiFi.

And I also just found out that the trip I'm going to make with my girl in a feww weeks, clashes with IndyCar at Pocono.

Fuck this shit.

I know. I told work I can't work Saturday because A) Le Mans and B) Radio station asked me to cover Le mans in updates in the usual slot when I go in and talk about local Speedway and F1.

Then the buggers put me in on Saturday right over the start time meaning I can't go into radio to cover it either :(

*sigh* Do hope there'll be an epic skype chat as is traditional though.

The Tensport stream should be something like 800kbps, so calculate from that if your mobile interwebs is enough. Instructions in 1st post (might be smart to do the geoblock trick now, and not 1 minute before the race starts ). Actually other than that, no other confirmed (free, race feed) stream (yet).

edit: actually right now there is something with the Tensport site, so the test video probably won't work anyway.

There will be lot's of Eurosport ones, though. Even if with not such good quality

BTW, Mattzel, will you be able to capture qualifying sessions this year as well? I still have one of the Loterer onboards that you had on your youtube account. Glad I saved that before it was deleted

I will report from trackside. Especially during the night when cameras are off. :) if anyone hears of stuff going on in the paddock, post time and places and I'll see what I can do. I'll attend the Nissan announcement of the electric dildo on Friday.

Excellent, so you can be our forum trackside reporter. Make sure you can put up photos in here as well.

As we want to sample the atmosphere through our computers or phones!

Will you be attempting the night-time trek out to the Mulsanne straight at some point?
