Also, didn't want to put this in the original post as it's not got much to do with the race itself, but ESPN will be broadcasting the well-reviewed Truth in 24, which details Audi's 2008 season culminating in their Le Mans victory. The broadcast will be March 20th, from 8:00pm-10:00pm EDT. I'll be watching for sure!

Hope somebody captures it, since there's no DVD release in sight!

I've got every intention of getting it recorded to DVD, I'll get it captured and posted here sometime during the week after it's been shown.

"SPEEDtv.com will also offer original content, including a live Sebring qualifying stream on Thursday, March 19 and a return of the popular Acura SPEED On Board pass, where three camera angles will provide fans a live two-screen experience for the race."

http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/article/ ... f-sebring/

Situation with streams looks not so good race-wise... "Wheels" channel @ TVUPlayer has been dead since October. Some crappy, unrealiable streams might or might not pop-up at justin.tv, but I'm really going to miss Wheels...

Speed will also show program about Acura's challenges this year. It is sequel to the program shown last year ("Advanced to Victory" or something).

Will anyone be showing Star Mazda live or is it the traditional one or more weeks delay on speed showing?

Oh well, at the very least there'll be 1 min highlights during a caution period in the 12 Hours...

Looking forward to the race though, should be able to make it for the entire 12 hours....I'll probably make it longer than some of the cars...arf...

I think the only way for Peugeot to have a shot at winning this, is hoping for the new Audi to suffer of some reliability issues.

They really need to win at least one major event. They are getting desperate
I'll be honest, I'm a big fan of the Audi team, but it would be great to see Peugeot to win as well :)

They won't with the current car. They were faster than Audi but had worse reliability. Now Audi presented the new car and if they don't have any issues, Peugeot are fucked.

"Our mission is very clear," he said. "Our objective is to prepare for Le Mans. We won't be out to start from pole or set the fastest race lap at all costs by taking unconsidered risks. We need to progress on the technical, human and strategic fronts."

le mans isnt won on a single lap and preparation is the key

that said i hope peugeot beat audi

Today's practices:

Another Peugeot is missing because they discovered a crack in the tub of the #07 caused by bumps of the track... wow. According to racecar-engineering.com, new tub is on its way from France.

It's this kind of thing that will make the Peugeot experience here worthwhile.
Since they reduced testing at Le Mans then it's better to have these kind of problems now at a "less prestigious" race (even though Sebring itself is quite prestigious, don't get me wrong ;) ) than in the 24 hours itself...
