Yes! Now we just need a factory Merc, Nissan and Peugeot team as well. Hell with it bring Audi too.

I don't think we're going to see Nissan soon after that 2015 debacle, but we'll have to see what Renault (Alpine - same group as Nissan) will do in LMH after their grandfathered LMP1 will no longer be eligible.

As for Mercedes, it remains to be seen if they want to put up a WEC program alongside F1. I frankly doubt that, but you never know, especially if both Alpine and Ferrari go to Le Mans.

But this is what we are potentially looking at for Le Mans 2023:

LMH: Toyota, Peugeot, Ferrari (confirmed) and maybe Alpine
LMDh: Audi, Porsche, Honda/Acura, BMW and probably GM

Enough to wet our appetites, I'd say.

Not much info yet and looks like it could be IMSA-centric program.

Yup, the full press release was released today. It is a continuation of the GTE program, funded by BMW NA and thus IMSA is the main goal.

iirc only Porsche has confirmed to do both IMSA and WEC (with Penske).

The late 90's were a good time. Nice to see a second go round.

Serious mic drop moment! It does look beautiful in a modern race car way.

The required downforce level/target of LMH is quite low compared to LMP1, so apparently they can easily generate it from the floor and diffuser.

Same reason I adored the Nissan GT-R LM project, and was gutted when it was essentially DOA.

Really want to see this do well, but my heart will be with another team in '23, so we'll see what happens.
