I'm not sure what his name is, but the main commentator (not Shaw) has to be one of the most annoying people I've had to listen to.

James Allen has nothing on this guy.

Hindy is a stuck up tool when it comes to motorsports that aren't sportscar racing, and his knowledge of technology in the sport is rock bottom. However he is an amazing commentator. He is the sportscars Murray Walker.

Kimi Raikkonen will test the Peugeot 908 Le Mans car at Spanish circuit Motorland Aragon on Wednesday.

It is understood that it could lead to a possible outing in next year's Le Mans 24 Hours, with Peugeot keen to evaluate Raikkonen's speed in the car.

Precisely. I just hope Kimi keeps being Kimi, and doesn't become too affected by the Peugeot school of driving...

ORECA finally said no to Silverstone, but Yes at PLM...with two new team-mates!:

With Kimi driving the 908 bis, very great day for ILMC today.

Mathieu Lahaye back at OAK Racing with Guillaume Moreau & Pierre Ragues in the N°15 and Alexandre Prémat & Olivier Pla joins Nicolet in the N°24 for Silverstone.

Good stuff for this cool private team!

The number of starters for Road Atlanta has been limited to 53.

It looks like LMPC and GTC cars will have to race their way in, through qualifying.

This can't be a surprise. Next year probably won't get any easier (Petit's spot on the calendar pending) so maybe they have to exclude LMPC and GTC totally.

And test day 3 June.

Wouldn't be surprised if the reason for this is avoiding a clash with the Canadian GP (which is great obviously), now that FIA has interest in both events.

Not only that. Sure, the FIA want the most possible no-clash week-ends for WRC, WTCC and now WEC. but we have also the legislatives elections one week before Le Mans.

In 2007 they only changed the start time, though.

Quote:
In both 1984 and 2007, the start time was moved ahead to 15:00 due to the conflicting French General Election.
