Lambo looks like the Vanwall. I have to say given it's a Lambo, I'm a bit underwhelmed it's not more extreme looking

Fassbender's a bit of a punching bag this race - punted by 2 cars in the last 15 minutes, one of them his own teammate.

Aston Martin returns to Le Mans to fight for overall victory with Valkyrie hypercar

I had to double check the date.

Good to see them entering (for now) given they were a big driving force behind the current regs.

I've heard McLaren returning is quite likely to happen as well

Stark contrast to F1

Quote:
Management figures from four LMDh manufacturers have reacted positively to Aston Martin’s decision to revive its Valkyrie LMH program, saying “the more the merrier” when it comes to the number of cars in the top class of global sports car racing.

They don't have to share championship prize money since there is no championship prize money.

Pretty sad as they had one of the better looking cars plus that light blue with red white and dark blue stripe was such a class livery

So Le Mans tickets went on sale at 10am CET, I joined the queue bang on 10, and it took 2 hours to get through, and by that stage everything except General Admission had sold out which I'm a bit pissed off about because I was keen on grandstand seats

If it's any consolation, both times I've been we didn't have grandstand seats and we didn't feel like we were missing out. There are GA viewing areas right next to all the grandstands and quite a lot of places which are GA only with no grandstands, and you'll want to be moving around to check them all out anyway. If you want to be on the start/finish straight for the start/finish then take a deckchair and find a spot on the concrete steps in front of the main grandstands (does get very full though so you need to get there early).
