They're looking at it. Don't envy race control in this situation tbh, it's a big call

great management of the incident though

Penultimate caution could have been a VSC, then you avoid the stupid restart crash and get a green finish

NASCAR officiating = NASCAR finish

Generally pretty awful driving all day. Lot of dumb incidents.

iRacing is more simulation than I thought. These guys drove about as well as last weekend iRacing Petite.

This was particularly evident in this race, and it took away most of the enjoyment for me.

Throwing debris cautions (even if sometimes warranted), letting the whole field pit and them bunch it up, essentially resetting whatever strategy the teams made, might provide entertainment for 2h 40 races but in a long enduro it's absolutely pointless.

It is not exactly a new thing in IMSA is it, I remember being annoyed by this already in ALMS years. Due to this reason I look more forward to the shorter races now. Once again I watched the start excited but then gradually lost interest when the bi-hourly FCYs began piling up. The way these races are run means there is essentially no need for long-term strategies other than trying to stay on the lead lap.

I wonder if the series stakeholders have ever even seriously discussed VSC introduction. You'd think at least the teams themselves would prefer it.
