Just clicked onto RadioLemans

Needless derision toward Formula 1 #1, All F1's recent problems (IE Lewis coming in during closed pits at Monza and the SC crash at Mugello) are because they don't have the race director giving out "This is Race Control, x thing is happening now" messages

Not so much the point but the way they said it. Sportscar racing is just sooooooo superior to F1, it seems

Not to mention that this is factually wrong - Race Control did send the message but Mercedes didn't pass it on quickly enough.

You don't think they'd spend time researching F1 and it's official announcments do you? That'd ruin their sense of superiority lol

Did a bloody good job of getting that car back that far without doing any damage.

FCY for a porsche arriving into the final chicane backwards

Either all the incidents are happening where the cameras are, or there's incidents all around the track and the ones by the start/finish are the only ones we're seeing, but it doesn't feel like we're missing much atm

Big crash for the #62 Ferrari, that's probably the end of the session

That car looks done. They can get a new chassis too can't they?

it's not a stretch to say this is the weakest field in memory at Le Mans. Who the hell was that Dwight Merriman, zero motorsport credentials.

Endurance racing has become way too complicated with all these driver ratings and driver stint limits and refuel times and all that.

ranting

He's in IMSA, racing an LMP2. Saw him spinning of at Road Atlanta quite a few times a couple of weeks ago...

that's good, Pilet is experienced and used to be pretty fast in the Flying Lizard Porsche.

Not the Le Mans SC procedure. That always ruins the race for me, seeing them restarting with a 2m30s gap after a close race. IMSA does it right. That's how it should be done here, I don't care for the excuse, this can be done, even if it's for just an year.

But you're spot with the race control being on all drivers radio.

Virtual FCY and slow zones have mostly taken of care of the safety car splitting ssue since it doesn't need to be used as often.

IMSA procedure is dumb for long races. Essentially sportscar world's version of Nascar stage racing.

ps. codename47's point was though how ridiculously and pretentiously anti-F1 Radio Le Mans (or just Hindy really) is.

By no means just by their own sheer pace but a really good lap from the Rebellion. New lap record.
