Wickens is only using hand controls and had his FFB set to 100% accidentally and went off at T1.

I watched a few bits of it here and there, shame about the technical issues but I actually quite enjoyed the last hour or so.

I liked how the level of the field was high. Very few silly crashes. I think people cared enough about the race not to be typically reckless as you see in the usual sim racing.

Also, the quality of broadcasting was the highest I have ever seen for sim-racing. There were replays and a good TV direction which is something that these races usually lack sometimes.

A shame the server crashed twice, but I still think it was a great event for the first time. Hopefully, we'll see more of this in the future.

I'd argue that the field in this race was of a higher quality than the real thing. No useless amateurs fucking things up.

Shame that the worst issue on rFactor is still present. The front of the car doesn't point to where they are actually going during corners. Always made any rFactor broadcast terrible and awfully unrealistic, and they STILL haven't fixed this shit. Tried to watch a 3min highlight video of the 9th hour or so and couldn't finish it in disgust.

How can they still have this? How can they call themselves a sim when all the cars are squint!!!

When about third of drivers have no actual race car experience that kind of negates the amount of real top drivers.

Top sim drivers have more of an idea about what they're doing in a game than amateur do on an actual track. But a this entry in a real race would be a disaster.
