Despite harsh & deserved criticism from fans, drivers & teams across the motorsport landscape, the cars & stars of the FIA WEC is racing this weekend at Fuji Speedway for the 6 Hours of Fuji. While the primary focus in sports car racing is at one of the crown jewel endurance races of the year with IMSA's Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta, WEC is racing at Fuji anyway this weekend to not clash with the F1 calendar. The clash of the event has caused havoc for drivers that were slated to race in both events, and has caused teams to find substitutes. This is round 4 of the 2018/2019 FIA WEC "Superseason". Last year's race was marred by extensive rain which forced the event to be ended early. Hopefully this year's will see the event go the full distance. Supporting the race weekend at Fuji is the Japanese Formula 3 Championship.
