They had about 10 guys working on the front of the 6 in the paddock, I figured it would have taken them longer to fix the car.

FCY for a puncture? A suspension failure? To cover the audi guy having to answer Hindy's probing questions on IMSA Radio??

Fucked if I know. Probably for the incident that sparked all this damage and debris, but as ever both cars were well back underway before we even saw a hint of what happened

This is a fucking shitshow of coverage today

Just had some WTF moment happen in front of us, the #14 Lexus lost a left rear under an FCY. No idea how it happened.

Do YOU have any idea why we're under yellow

The camera is on the outside of the track atm watching the lexus getting on the low-loader.

As far as I know it was for the puncture and maybe to check for any debris. I know as much as you do at this point.

Imsa Radio going full Alan Partridge by seemingly inviting the Michelin north american spokesperson in for a PR item where both Hindy and the guest seem to be reading their questions/answers off a script

"So, Michelin is the WORLD LEADER in tyre manufacturing, of that there is no doubt, tell me what makes you so good and why people should pay their money to you right now for your tyres, because you're really really great!" :whistling:

I just wish someone would blow over or some other huge race event happen while this PR piece was happening to see if they had the ability to cut away from it :P

I rolled my eyes as soon as I heard the term “Sponsor Activation.”

That’s a term that’ll get me to quit paying attention to you in record time.

Michelin raceway Now eh?

Neat, that's another re-name I'll find hard to place to the track, just about get used to it in about 5 years time, and then the contract will run out and it'll be back to being Road Atlanta :p

Either the broadcast is messing up again or they have no interest in focusing on what Hindy is talking about even if it is important for the race positions

I know RLM have a history of not commentating to the pictures, but in this case, the leader had crashed lightly at T1 and the tv pictures had no interest in finding the incident,

afaik they're still mainly doing this as a radio broadcast, the audio is just added to the imsa.com stream. So that explains why somehing can happen on the track and Hindy reacts to it a minute later. And clearly the tv director is doing his own thing, not listening to RLM.

What annoyes me is that often when there's one of these Sponsor Activation (tm) moments going on, a meteor could drop in the middle of the track and they wouldn't interrupt the interview to comment on the action. :whistling:
