It's the season finale for the 2017 IMSA season, with the 20th running of the Motul Petit Le Mans. Petit is also the 4th and final round of the 2017 Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup, with the Weathertech cars competing for 10 hours around the 2.540 mile Road Atlanta circuit in Brasleton, GA.

This is also the final time we'll see the Prototype Challenge class in Weathertech Competition, with the class being put out to pasture following the end of Petit. This comes after their introduction 8 seasons ago as a bumper class to help fill the field in the former American Le Mans series.

Also in action for their respective season finales, are IMSA's Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge for a 2 hour race, IMSA Prototype Challenge for a pair of 45 minute contests, and Porsche GT3 Cup USA for twin 45 minute races.

Motul Petit Le Mans TV Schedule(all times Eastern):
FS1 - 10:30a-11:30a
FS2 - 11:30a-2:30p
FS2 - 5:00p-9:30p

Race will be streamed in full on the IMSA website for those it applies to.

Part 3

Thus concludes another year of IMSA competition. With 2018 looking to be an even stronger season from a competitor standpoint, I cannot wait until late January for the 2018 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

I hope you guys have enjoyed the race preview threads I've done this year, I fully expect to continue them in the coming years.

The .m3u8 link doesn't seem to work for me. The IMSA site stream works but is laggy as heck and buffers a lot.

Hmm, I get the same thing in VLC... but I don't use it normally.

Use another player then (MPC-HC, mpv), even Windows Media Player might work.

Or install "Native HLS Playback" extension for Firefox/Chrome.

Yes, MPC-HC works perfectly. Completely forgot about that player.

Urgh thanks, I'm so used to akamaihd streams working faultlessly in VLC I completely forgot about alternatives, even though I use them all the time to capture non-akamaihd streams lol

I guess they've changed something in their streams and VlC doesn't like it.

I've been having random issues with VLC for sometime, some of the more 'unauthorised' streams will often send a corrupt bitstream when you fist connect which causes these issues, other programs like mpc and ffmpeg will cope just fine, but recent builds of vlc crap out with them.

With this one it looks like vlc is looking for the file path exactly instead of translating the code to it's basic form because if you copy/paste one of the files into vlc directly and replace all the spaghetti with the proper charachter the file plays fine, but that's no good for Apple streaming.

Don't know how far behind I am but yellow for a bmw in the gravel.
