It seems that a crash yesterday sent a driver to the hospital and, because of that, they decided to cancel the races. The car seems to have brake issues. Thread here:

It seems that a marshall was also sent to hospital with a broken arm after a crash.

Qatar to replace Sebring in WEC from 2024

Edit: ok to replace Sebring as a first round, but I hope that Sebring isn't gone

venue with decades of history replaced by a soulless, flat parking lot with nobody there

Sportscars racing at modern as mclaren2008 soulless, flat parking lots just doesn't seem right, they belong at the traditional tracks like Sebring, Road America, Le Mans

Qatar could be at the end of February and then Sebring can be held normally. There is going to be an US round, either Sebring or Indianapolis.

2023 entry list

FYI: Vanvall is ByKolles. And there's apparently still a legal dispute ongoing (Vanvall trademark) so it is actually a surprise to see them on the entry list. Cars need to be entered under the name of a car brand which is a dumb rule.

Happy to see Doriane Pin in the LMP2, she was very impressive in the GTE last year and she just turned 19.

Honestly I'm more surprised to see Glickenhaus on the full season list.
After their abrupt hiatus last season citing financial reasons, I was fairly sure Monza would have been their last outing. Or we could see a Le Mans-only farewell at most.

And I'm also surprised Isotta Fraschini (I chuckle every time I see it, I can't help it) paint themselves "suprised" for having been excluded from the list.
Despite the high-profile names involved in the project, they have yet to build a car which is obviously yet to be homologated.
I sincerely hope they succeed with their car, but I hope they won't rush it and pull a Lola-Mastercard...they have the potential to be more successful than the "usual" ByKolles hackjob.

Gotta wonder if getting Jenson onboard was to pike interest for the project from Europeans and not have them scoff at it because it's NASCAR
