Glickenhaus 007, an actual CAD model of the car for the new LMH regs. Kind of surprised that it looks so... DPI-ish (it is not based on an LMP2 chassis). Unfortunately an engine deal with Alfa Romeo broke down due to the various rule changes (which are finally finalized; LMH and LMDh will use same weight & power), now they'll instead use an bespoke engine from Pipo Moteurs. https://www.twitter.com/Glickenhaus ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Michael Fassbender has levelled up to ELMS. http://www.dailysportscar.com/2020/07/1 ... rsche.html Last year he completed a German single make series and Porsche made a Youtube series about it: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 7c4FBi3UAs |

Reports just came out of a hard crash for Katherine Legge in EMLS’ test session in Paul Ricard. She is conscious but had to be extracted from the car. |

Andy Lally just said that he spoke with Katherine’s dad and she “only” has a broken leg. The wrist is sprained and she’s a bit groggy at the moment. The leg will need surgery though |

The problems with Paul Ricard, part 1000 Not only is it a boring eyesore, but it's bloody dangerous too. |

So, after all, those abrasive stripes serve no purpose if a car can still connect with the barriers at high speed |

I'd say the red stripes did a pretty good job. If it was gravel the car would have rolled. |

In 2009 Tomas Enge also crashed the back then brand new Lola-Aston in testing at Signes corner so badly that the tub was apparently written off. |

I think people have to get over their fear of rollovers tbh In a crash like that, in this era of rollbars/rollcages being strong, it would do a good job of dissipating energy and preventing a hard side on secondary impact into a barrier where a lot of the cars crash structure had already been used up by the first impact. The main worry in rollovers these days is keeping the debris from being launched towards the spectators, but that's not really a problem Paul Ricard has either. No, the main issue in this crash is why that barrier is so close to the track in the first place. Is it still there? I doubt it tbh Not sure what the deal was with Legge's crash but it sounds from the description like a higher speed version of what happened to Ricciardo in practice at Austria, the rear broke away and a slide side on into the barrier. Why the tarmac didn't slow it down enough is probably already being investigated. |

We can only guess at what Wurz's crash would have looked like with gravel. Legge's crash was nasty if the skidmarks on the broadcast are hers. The car spun round on the exit of Signes and went to the right into the wall |

It wouldn't have slid for as long as it did. That's safe to say. |
