Also the most of the public road parts were repaved earlier this year, but that's nothing new per se.

As I've said before, the new Arnage is stupid. You don't have big accidents there. And the gravel trap now means anyone who has one of those small offs you have (like the Corvette nudging into it last year) will get stuck, rather than do a quick reverse and continue.

And that home has had its fence and garden ruined. :p

So, you guys that have been to the race before, which are the best spectators spots? I've heard Arnage is quite cool and so on. Do you have to be there early to get a good spot?

Arnage is cool but its a long long way without transport. Lot of walking through back roads. If you do Arnage and Mulsanne Corner, then go in the daylight.

The esses are cool. Dunlop/turn 1 is a bit shit because you're miles away. Tetre Rouge is cool too. I haven't spent much time at the Porsche curves.

When I was there in 2010 I watched the start from Tertre rouge, there is a nice bank on the inside so you can see over the crowds heads, the outside of the track is also good, there is also a bank with some pine tree, although you do sorta watch the cars through the trees but it's kinda cool at the same time, another thing you have to do is go on the ferris wheel, perfect opportunity to get some ace photos!

I believe there is a bus that goes there every hour, but you'd probably have to queue for an hour to even get onboard

What's the deal with you guys and photos? I know you're there incase there are problems, but are you aloud to take photos from your spots or only on your off hours?

I guess technically we're not allowed to take photos while we're on shift. In fact, I know we're not. However, I wear a GoPro on my head occasionally when I flag just for kicks, so I do get some footage that way.

For the most part though, most tracks and corner stations allow you to take photos when you're not on shift. I've gotten quite a few good ones from events over the years. :)

is there any of you graphically minded out there who can change the poster below using the same font to reah 25 Years Du Mans

I'll be at Le Mans again this year (only for the test day & on saturday/sunday for the race). Can't be there for practices, qualifyings & driver parade as they are in the middle of the week.

If there's a TBK meetup at one point, I'm up for it.

Zone no. 3: Michelin Chicane (no. 60 marshals’ post)
Zone no. 4: Mulsanne corner (no. 76 marshals’ post)
