Their engine died anyway once they got going again which is what did them in.

#1 Porsche has been officially withdrawn going by the live timing.

That penalty for #13 is going to be rather inconvenient.

In their defence, they were rather shat on.

I heard the accident was their fault and not the #9's, but if it's the other way around then I feel sorry for them.

Hit debris off a car in front which sent Webb wide, damaged the nose and no air could get into the radiator. Had to go almost all around the lap in that heat and the engine overheated, just a shitload of bad luck.

At the moment, it sounds like the Porsche has the pace it needs. But that can change very quickly.

Oops, Piquet...

That ARC Bratislava car has been a menace all week, though.

So with the LMP1 podium, will the car that DNF'd but is essentially 3rd in class still be on the podium?

Slow-zone for Mulsanne Hairpin, bad news for the chasing Porsche.

Must complete 70% (or was it 75%) of the race distance, and also cross the finsh line in order to be classified.

Interesting how in these last two years, the LMP1's have been so unreliable, while in 2015, they were bullet proof. That is called pushing the envelope.

Roughly at what point of the race the Porsche will catch up on the leader? I can't work it out lol.

They are closing at the rate of about 10 seconds a lap and are about two minutes behind (so 120 seconds). So they need about 12 laps at their current pace to overtake the LMP2. That's not taking into account pitstops though.

And as I write that they've pitted.
