Maybe Porsche PR team is doing all artwork this year?

What? Other than this it has been pretty high quality... especially their videos.

Quote:
SRT Motorsports will not take part in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, Sportscar365 has learned.

Multiple French reports have indicated that the Detroit automaker has pulled its two-car factory GTE-Pro effort, ahead of next month’s deadline for the final entry deposits.

The Viper made its return to the twice-around-the-clock French endurance classic last year, as the first year of a planned multi-year program.

However, lower-than-expected sales of the V10-powered sports car recently forced the temporary closure of its production plant in Detroit, likely prompting a tightened budget on its motorsports programs.

The pair of Riley Technologies-built Viper GTS-Rs were due to be driven by Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goossens, Rob Bell (No. 93) and Jonathan Bomarito, Kuno Wittmer and Jeroen Bleekemolen (No. 94).

As a result, the first two GTE reserve entries, the No. 66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari F458 Italia and Team Taisan’s Ferrari, will soon be confirmed for the race.

Well, fuck this shit. Absolutely devastated :( Marc was even gathering some national press (finally) with a TV appearance last Sunday. Fuck. I saw the rumours on E-I and the likes, but assumed that it would still work out.

What makes it worse is that we're now getting 2 bland Ferrari's instead.

Confirmed by Ralph Gilles. FML.

Quote:
“We regretfully and respectfully decline to participate in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of SRT (Street and Racing Technology) Brand and Motorsports, Chrysler Group LLC.

“We are honored to once again be invited by the ACO to compete in this historic event, and they were the first to be informed of our decision. We will remain focused on our North American racing program in 2014.”

Tbh, this doesn't affect me much as I don't generally follow GT racing that much. The only thing I'm hoping for WEC and Le Mans is that the P1 manufactures have an intense and fierce fight. But I know most people mostly care about GTs, so I'm sorry for you.

We knew this would be a problem the day TUSCC announced the calendar. It doesn't take into account the LM test day and doesn't give a huge window for LM itself. It's almost as if NASCAR doesn't care about the teams that would run LM. Like..it cares about Daytona regulated cars more...

"The white represents clean hybrid technology, the silver represents the audi history and brand, and the black represents lightweight technology".

My arse. It's that colour because it's Audi. And the front end needs more stuff on it!

Maybe they and Porsche should have co-operated a bit more and avoid both picking white main color :slaphead:

Would have been particularly delicious (from a PR fail pov) if Audi had some completely new colors instead (like the black from the interim livery), as for an average fan the Porsche has to look a lot like Audi in the rally quattro livery from past two years :slaphead:
