There are a bunch of 'likely' entrants, as you can see in the article. I've just summarised the confirmed ones.

Greaves with 1 car, Muscle Milk with 1 car and Conquest with 1 car will probably be added as well, which makes for about 7 P2-entries at the moment.

That many possible entries makes PC's existence even more frustrating.

Looks like more news about this is coming very soon (according to E-I)

EI says "100% Français". New Oreca Coupè for privateers? New WR?

Hmmm...looking at the colours you might be right.

Isn't the new Rebellion not an Oreca? Given that they already do Toyota and that I would assume someone else. How awesome would a return of Pesca be.

It could actually be linked to the "Mystery Team" John Dagys is talking about in that USCR article I posted, now I think about it.

If it's Pescarolo, it would surprise me if they go to the US, though.

Seems to be some speculation (ungrounded) that the Dagys mystery team may have something to do with Mazda who are desperate to get their name back into the public eye after the GTX fiasco and their unwillingness to be in the GT Daytona pro-am wilderness.

I've heard that the LMP2 team would be Speedsource Mazda, and that a diesel engine was recently approved for both LMP2 and DPs.

That render has a bit odd proportions for an LMP (especially wheel size). Could be a CN too.

vs Norma's older CN render:

There we go:

Dempsey Rcg was testing a Mazda diesel powered prototype at Sebring yesterday...

Although there seems to be a doubt as to whether it's the right D-team mentioned

Not sure why we're terribly surprised about the Mazda Diesel, that program was announced a year and a half ago now. It did seem to creep up out of nowhere but with the death of GX it's not much of a surprise.

Speedsource were actually out testing the cars as far as I was aware, perhaps with an ex-Dempsey car. Dempsey has committed to a Porsche program moving forward.

The question is more about who will run the LMP2 next year. Certainly, Dyson would make sense. They've been loyal to Mazda for the last few years, have experience with Lola products, and would certainly welcome the funding and technical support from Mazda/Speedsource. Chris Dyson will have been looking for a new partner now with Guy Smith on Bentley duty, too. Money's on a Dyson/Speedsource two-car effort.

Worth noting, too, that Speedsource will have all three of the old GX cars out at Thunderhill this year for the 25 hour, presumably to keep working on reliability. They need all the miles they can get...

More TUSCC news seems to be posted to this thread instead of the GA thread. Some kind of a subconscious statement since it is seen more as a takeover than merger? :p

(I don't mean that a new thread should be made, actually I prefer single thread for all)

What a downer. Not an LMP1 or LMP2, not sure what it is, LMP3?!? (my French and that of google translate isn't that good...). I guess we should be happy Pescarolo is back though.

I like it! Looks great without that 'mid wing thing'. How come it is not obligatory for this car?
