Farnbacher is blinding quick (as also proven by his Nordschleife laps with the new Viper) while Goossens is a household Riley name with massive experience in development and endurance. They both know the material and the team they're working with. AFAIK Wittmer is a factory driver for Dodge as well so he knows that Viper inside and outside too.

I don't see much of a problem.

Ryan Hunter-Reay was the 4th named driver (not mentioned in every piece of news, but it was clearly in the press release).

I doesn't know who is this Wittmer...If i like Goossens, i think he's not so quicker last year, but it's maybe a transition year for him. But no problem with Farnbacher, this man is awesome, whatever the car!

Wittmer made his name running in World Challenge, initially for Acura and now apparently for Dodge. As mentioned above he was pretty average, not necessarily slow but he was a safe pair of hands, at least.

^ the real quote is funnier:

Quote:
Aerodynamics will be bespoke, there's little point in retainging anything from the AMR-One, says Mr. Pescarolo, "We keep all that is good (of the AMR-One), you throw out everything that does not work, essentially the engine and aerodynamics."

They are blaming lack of spars for the withdrawal. So either they've made massive advancements on the car since the launch, or there's another problem. Maybe the mechanical failure which caused the accident isn't an easy fix.
