"Track will go green at 23:15"

"OK we're taking a break, back when there's been the first crash and the track will be red flagged again, probably"

Good work, Eurosport

First time I've heard an SC driver thanked for going out in such conditions.

Were there times yesterday?

I'm actually asking if it's worth following, can they still improve?

Most times were put down yesterday, no one is going to improve.

For what it's worth, Kobayashi's last lap (3:50.9) seems to be the quickest time since we went green. Previously it was Lotterer with a 3:51 something and most others on a 3:54. I highly doubt anyone is even close to pushing, just thought I'd mention it.

Kobayashi's in-lap was a 3:57. Quick stop for tyres and straight out again. Maybe checking how wets feels vs intermediates. Track looks dryer, certainly on onboards.

I was looking at the times in the rain earlier, and Audi were usually closer to their maximum dry pace than Porsche and Toyota. Which means they are quite on level.

RLM just confirmed that Kobayashi's time is quickest of Q3. So there's that :p

I always admire your devotion to this event with all the timing analysis.

You sir, are a true endurance fan.

Unlike me, I'm just here for rain and rexx.

I'm giving the FIA stream a go this year.

Stream quality is good, but the commentators are a bit dull.

So what do we think? Porsche with the ultimate pace? Toyota who might be able to eke out an extra lap per stint? Or Audi with the better downforce i.e. more grip during Ronald Regen storms?

Oh, and thanks Fabs. It's what keeps me awake :p

The apps I use say the same thing for saturday as they do for today
"Heavy showers"

There'll be less of them but that won't matter if one hits anywhere on the track, it'll be biblical amount of rain and noah will win the race due to his pre-prepared ark that the ACO will hurriedly BOP to GTEPro rules or whatever

TL;DR, any rain on Sat will be scary rain.
