Another Lotus sponsored team? Can't they just focus their money on Indycar and F1, so they can successfully there instead of giving away money in every class.

How much would they offer to sponsor my roadcar? It's already black so it only needs the golden stripes.
It's an Opel so it even has some connection to Lotus.

Risi Competizione won't be at Sebring this year.

3xR18 (all in 2011 config?), this might have been rumoured but still surprised.

I think the ACO kinda asked them to run another car when they can. WEC without Peugeot was going to look a bit poor. I don't think it's a coincidence that a 4th Audi and 2nd Toyota appeared on the LM entry list when Peugeot didn't.

Definitely begged Toyota but I don't think the 4th Audi @ LM is related. It and especially the fact that two will be hybrids and two "backups" sounds more like this was set in stone when they were still supposed to be racing against Peugeot. Now it seems almost overkill.

Well Tom and Dindo were meant to be in their last year last year (again. How many times has Tom retired?), so if the 4th Audi was set in stone then they'd need the drivers to man it, which they don't have if you take out those two, and Rocky wanting to concentrate on DTM. Sometime changed since Dindo and Tom are back again.

I'm very disappointed by the GTE-Pro field this year. Seems like this class isn't going to have a bright future (except for ALMS), with most manufacturers preferring to develop GT3-spec cars. I think finding a "global" agreement on GT specs should be of major concern for ACO/FIA.
All thing considered, GT3 cars aren't that slower than GTEs (1-2 seconds per lap, comparing lap times at Silverstone).

I'm very disappointed by Dyson Racing. "At least 2 cars in 2012" they said last year. Now there's only one car entered for Sebring.

Tough to be disappointed in a privateer effort who's throwing two cars at Le Mans.

Oryx deciding to jump ship hasn't helped things, nor has the fact that they're purchasing two brand new 2012-spec cars. That will be taking up quite a lot of their resources at the moment and the plan is for them to return to two cars post-Le Mans.

Jaguar apparently is pulling their support for the ALMS program according to AR1 on twitter.

I'm amazed it took this long. Those cars sound incredible but are otherwise a total waste of time.

Isn't that because Rocketsports got themselves hold of an LMPC or something? So the Jaguar effort was going to be binned anyway.

Why did they spend money on the Grand-Am cars and running Daytona when they don't have funding for Sebring?

Awesome liveries, they should have done this a long time ago instead of the horrible paint job of 2010 for example, but I hate that blatant quattro branding. It's just "bla bla bla" marketing BS to my ears.
