Interesting to hear theres more makes wanting to come to Le Mans, but won't while the diesel cars rule. Simple thing to do, BAN THE DIESEL ENGINES!

Bring back the good old days of Le Mans. Yes this years race has been great, but it could be even better with the Pescarolo and Rebellion cars in the fight too.

Okay can someone explain this to me? It is generally understood that Diesel engines get much more torque. Like 10% more torque is equal to 3.7 seconds a lap at Le Mans according to Mulsanne Corner.

So why don't Aston Martin, other cars, or other factories that want to enter, enter Diesel Cars? Is it because of cost? Is it because they don't know Diesel technology like Peugeot and Audi?

I mean, I know that even if other Diesel cars were entered, they probably wouldn't be up to Peugeot and Audi's speed unless they spent as much money as they did, but they'd be closer.

That's what I'm saying. The only way to make this a close battle is if you adopt the Grand-Am rules, and I'm sure no one wants that.

Audi and Peugeot sell diesel cars, Aston Martin does not. Simple as that.

Also, money. Diesel is an expensive technology.

Aston Martin is a sportcars manufacturer. They don't have any interest/experience of running a diesel. Audi/Peugeot sell diesel cars to the general public. Marks like Aston Martin try to sell sportcars.
