Diesel will rule as long as majority of the makes involved want to sell diesel cars. So...

Diesels are faster because the works cars make them. When Audi made petrol cars, they were still miles ahead of everybody. You'd have to really screw with things to get Rebellion involved, and as much as I love Pescarolo, that car is FAR Too old for the position it's in. It's been gifted a huge performance increase.

Anyone remember the old pre-Audi diesels? I don't recall them being fairly impressive.
