Time different works really well for me, last 6 hours of the race in the evening, chilling with some snacks, dis gone be gewd. Pretty understated race thus far, hope it goes off in the closing stages.

Have they ever did?

Race fastest laps were always 1-2 seconds off from pole laptime, iirc.

On RLM they said, some 3 or 4 hours ago, that traditionally the fastest laps are posted in the early morning(7am local).

The Toyota's fastest laps(1.23.1) are from 4th lap. And we can't blame this all on traffic for not beating those early laptimes because I have been following some onboards for hours(as I did on the first 3 hours of it) and they all have traffic-free laps every once in a while.

I guess they are also playing safe with equipament right now because in the early hours, I saw Bonanomi hit 355kph(with some draft from GTs) before LÁrche chicane, but in the last 3, or so, hours, the Audis are only reaching around 330kph at the same spot(where top speeed happens on La Sarthe)

Let's see if 2 or 3 hours from now they will up the pace. But I'm not counting much on that because there is not much reason for it. Audi and Porsche can only win this if they survive and #7 retires, so they better play safe until the end than pointlessly going for fast laps which won't bring them significantly closer to the leaders.

Well that sucks. Toyota should have had a third car like Audi!

Still a little less than ten hours to go. A bit early to call it.

If it rains and this race turns into Sparta, later on, then even OAK can win this

Fish88 and myself were saying this weeks ago.

They knew they had the fastest car, they could only lose through multiple problems/retires, which are common stuff at a 24h race. The 3rd car was an obvious thing, really. And, again, I'm not saying this with hindsight
