Minus the prestige that comes with the World Championship status.

You're a moron. Having FIA status is a pretty big deal.

Got be careful with FIA Status though. Remember what happened in the 90s with sportscars and DTM when the FIA were invited in.

Awesome news, but I'm still sceptical until it's a success really.

At least the current FIA president sat on a the front seat when shit started hitting the windscreen wiper in 91-92.

Rumours flying of a Hyundai LMP program... It's not based on a whole lot except a massive number of hits to the Mulsannes' Corner website (LMP aerodynamic analyses contained within), all traced from Hyundai North America IP addresses.

Quite an interesting discussion in the comments field.

Wasn't it just reported (according to Italian Autospring) that Hyundai is also looking into buying some F1 team.

Highcroft's little secret?

Well, apparently people are expecting an "ALMS-centric, US-located LMP factory program." Process of elimination between Mike and Sam Collins of Racecar Engineering and the IP traces led them to Hyundai.

They'd do well to nab Highcroft, IMO...

RLM just said that Highcroft and the ACO have an important announcement this week. I wonder what this could be about.

ROFL. I can't wait for them to build it, test it and then realise that it just won't do corners.

LOL I don't think this thing could even do the turns at Indianapolis, let alone go around fucking La Sarthe.

There aren't many places it could turn at. Talladega, maybe. Indy and La Sarth, no way.

Maybe they're gonna implement a bending front-end, you know, like those accordion busses.

So, yeah. Le Mans 2012. Highcroft AAR DeltaWing. That's happening.

Fucknuggets thats hideous. What's really upsetting about this is that both AAR and Highcroft have been suckered in by this. I thought they had more nous than that. They are aware Le Mans is not a straight road with gentle curves, yes?
