As of 2012, the FIA & ACO will be joint-venturing a new Endurance World Championship. 6 races, of course including Le Mans

Okay, because I'm in the middle of my usual Le Mans-exams, this was actually the first thought that crossed my mind:

Le Mans part of a World Championship => no other WC-races can be run on that day => Le Mans moves to one week earlier => WIN!

It's the same name than between 1982-1985. Then 1986-1990 FIA World Sports-Prototype Championship and 1991-1992 FIA Sportscar World Championship.
