GT cars didn't even bother trying to go round the chicanes last year. This change is good.

And Hindy seems convinced that there are something very real about the McLaren-Honda rumours... would be funny if it would be that stillborn HPD LMP1 with a McLaren engine, hehe.

The entire Midweek Motorsport team (including Graham Goodwin of Daily Sportscar.com ) is also convinced Ferrari's return to LMP1 is only a question of WHEN, not if.
Come in 2016 for a learning year before the new ruleset in 2017, or just wait for the new rules and start in 2017?

While nothing is ever set in stone, with so many rumours swirling around LMP1 surely statistically one or two have to come to fruition?

BTW the "big american announcement" will be revealed at Lunchtime tomorrow, apparently.
No idea if that's lunchtime US time or European time but expect them to talk about it during the Test Day either way and claim ignorance later ;)

Ford Racing director Jamie Allison told Sportscar365 Saturday morning in Detroit that “there’s no basis of the rumor for LMP1.”

Lets see about that tomorrow.

ACO appear to be testing the slow zone procedure but in an unusual way. They have a safety car out right now (during testing..?) AND are testing a slow zone on the start and finish straight. But the slow zone speeds are REALLY slow, and the safety car is faster than the slow zone, so the cars aren't keeping up. Why are we testing a SC AND a slow zone together?

Edit: cars reporting they cannot actually go as slow as the slow zone limit without overheating and other various engine issues.

First blood to Audi, 2 seconds faster than everybody else with an amazing lap by Bonanomi. We're already seeing 3:23s during the first test session. We'll break the magical 3:20 barrier this year, without a doubt.

Great coverage for just a test day though. Still all the factory teams within 2 seconds. Rebellions are 10 seconds off factory pace.

Great indications for a real three-horse race with the performances at the front 8)

Red flag for a crash.

Nissan pay for a LOT of advertising space on RLM. Meanwhile Audi pay RLM just to exist to provide the coverage for the event.

Red Flag is for the Rebellion #12 which has a puncture.

Edit: Scrap that. The Rebellion had a minor puncture but returned to the pit. 38 Zytek stopped on track.

So it's confirmed that Porsche are running flexible bodywork..which has been illegal since...well, forever. So how is it legal? The rear end is particularly bad.
