Supposedly both the Dome and Pescrolo 03 have been seized by French courts after legal action from Julien Jousse.

Why is a mediocre driver taking Pesca to court, and where can I kill him?

That airbox looks almost cartoonish. Hope they do well.

I saw an interview a few years back with a Mercedes engineer after they crash-tested one of their F-Cell cars, basically what he said is that in an accident where the fuel talk is punctured, liquid fuels like gasoline pool and potentially burn for a long period of time, whereas hydrogen is lighter than air and just goes straight up.

I have studied HFCV's, they're comparatively speaking only slightly more dangerous than a regular gasoline powered car, at this stage of their development. Nothing is safe afterall.

The problem isn't really the hydrogen itself, but rather containing it. Currently, the canisters go along the side pods of the car, in a rather exposed area (before they were on the top). The petrol/diesel fuel cells are safely tucked away in the car, in specialised deformable tanks. It'll be interesting to see the layout of this car when it actually gets beyond a rolling prototype.

Since the test day is today, is there any sort of stream, or is it RLM only?

Jousse had a contact to drive the Pescarolo 03. But when Pescarolo had financial issues, Roald Goethe came to the rescue and funded the car. As a result, Goethe actually owns the Pescarolo 03, but would only fund the car if Stuart Hall was put in it. So Jousse was booted out in favour of Hall (A step up in many peoples opinions anyway).

Jousse feels the contract was violated and got a court order to seize both the Pescarolo 03 and Dome. The judge quickly discovered that neither car are owned by Henri (the Dome is owned by Dome), so could not be seized and gave the cars back. The issue is still not over and will have to be dealt with later, but as it stands right now, Henri has his cars and can run the Test Day and therefore the 24.

About the tanks:
Quote:
One feature that drew immediate attention was the seemingly hugely exposed, side mounted hydrogen tanks, the team anxious to explain that each tank contains 3-4 kg of hydrogen but are so thick that each weighs 80 kg!

Was just said on RLM that they're only ones doing live coverage and no broadcasters around. Some static cameras on the track obviously.
