Gotta wonder if we'll ever see the CCTV footage of the crash itself, it it exists

Btw: isnt CCTV a Chinese Station? Why do they have their own cameras?

Closed-Circuit TV. The TV cameras around the track.

Terrible day for LeMans, I just hope it doesn't spark off should these cars race at LeMans etc. etc.

That may be too far fetched but certainly I can see some changes to the track's run off areas. And more fuel to ACO's desire to slow down the cars...

Fasters cars can actually decide to slow down a bit and wait until it's clear how the slower car is handling. If slow cars would always have to move over, you'd see a whole lot of more crashes...

The 2 accidents weve seen havn't really been a circuit specific issue, Those kind of accidents can happen anywhere.

For Example:

Haha the Eurosport guys are gonna fight.
I'm on the "it's the duty of the fastest guy to get by safely" side, although I think that on the second crash the Ferrari shouldn't have closed Rockenfeller's line. Then again we don't know how hard it is for them to judge distances so it would be too easy to say "it's just that dude's fault"

Yeah, also besides that there is the darkness. For all we know Rocky misjudged how far the kink was as he focused on overtaking or the Ferrari changed his mind about keeping the racing line or not and look to give space until the kink. Mistakes are human, sometimes even with all clear rules you can't 100% blame 1 driver.

Its only £3.99 a month to subscribe to Eurosport Player. Its pretty useful when you dont have access to it on Sky/Virgin Media

These sort of accidents, with LMPs either diving into gaps, or GTs turning in on LMPs are extremely common, they just tend to happen at low speed. It could happen in the Ford Chicane and just be a spin.
