If the 100th running of the Indy 500 didn't happen to be next year, I think Le Mans would have been on my radar. I really want to go there.

I'd bet 50 cents on BMW too and 25 on Glickenhaus.

Aaah, can't beat a good bit of Le Mans hype/rumours for a press conference. Last years I remember lots of fuss and nothing about the actual press conference.

An actual invitation to an event (once they hand them over shouldn't it say though who is keeping the event?) is a bit more substantial than the vaporwares last year.

RCE/Sam Collins confirms: https://twitter.com/RacecarEngineer/sta ... 6150681600

I wonder if a Glickenhaus LMP1 would effectively be a "covert" Ferrari semi-works team.

Are you serious :slaphead: Besides, the road and race SCG 003 are no longer Ferraris.

James Glickenhaus was interviewed on RLM recently and he said he has real LMP1 ambitions, has money but maybe needs to sell a few of those road cars first. And his LMP1 would obviously have nothing to do with the road+race car.

I'd love either a cool private Panoz-esque endeavour like Glickenhaus or BMW. Both great.

- Bjorn Wirdheim replaced by Gaëtan Paletou at Greaves, requested by Nissan: http://sportscar365.com/lemans/lemans24 ... r-le-mans/
- Andy Blackmore's Spotter Guide is out: http://www.spotterguides.com/portfolio/15lm/
- Eurosport confirms full coverage, including nighttime TV cams: http://sportscar365.com/lemans/lemans24 ... -revealed/

Regular TV crew with Haven, Cole (meh, not my personal favourite), Shaw, Gaymore + Damien Faulkner & Sam Hancock. Luckily Liz Halliday is once again in the pitlane, like her way more as a pit reporter vs. commentator.

+ no Robbie Knock, in the 24 minutes magazine has been replaced by Neil Cole, rally fans should know him
+ no Carlton Kirby

Halliday in the pitlane also means less of Justine Monnier (the French one with awful English asking useless and ridiculous questions) or hopefully no her at all in the English feed.

The fiawec.com commentator (not using RLM) team: Bob Constanduros, Gilles Dawson, Mark James, Peter Dumbreck. Dawson and James doesn't say anything to me.

I think Kirby wasn't there either last year?

Don't think Justine will be on the English feed: "Liz Halliday, Adelaide de Gouvion St Cyr and Neil Cole will be working pit road"

Plus he fell out with Ferrari over the P4/5 Competizione

In the same RLM interview he told about that. It went something like that first he got a clearance from Montezemolo himself (!?) or someone high up, but then when they went racing with the car, Ferrari legal department got in contact saying you can't do that. His stance was that he doesn't care and is going to gladly call it Pininfarina then instead... then Ferrari got jealous and finally agreed to using the name.
