shouldn't be much info this week, as only IC and Lights is running (only other thing running is hot laps for the local Ferrari Club)

glad that both WG & Pocono is on the schedule for 2 more years, might have to make a trip up north one of these years (got some family about 2 hours away from both tracks)

Yea, it was doomed from the start. There's so much political bullshit here, the race was never gonna happen.

So, the wife just got 3 tickets with hospitality and paddock access for this race... We were supposed to go to Classic at Oswego but now I think we might head to Watkins on Sunday instead...

EDIT: Yep, headed to The Glen this weekend :metal:

It'll be interesting to see the cars whipping around the place so fast but I worry it will make passing scarce.

I agree. The bus stop is nasty fast and so is Turn 1. The best opportunity looks like the dive down into the boot, at least from Rahal's onboard.

Side note: I've never been to Watkins Glen. Where are the good vantage spots? Since the grandstands are open to all G/A I thought that stand mid-way up the Esses would be a good place to start. Thoughts?

Never been but I have a co worker in another office that has been going to the glen for years for the Cup race. If I can get a hold of her, I'll ask.

There are great spots all around the Glen to watch, so it's nice to walk around and check it all out. When I was there for the 6 Hours a couple times I rarely actually was in the grandstands. Most of my time I just stood somewhere. Some of my favorite spots are coming through the esses, entering the bus stop, the inside of turn 8, and sitting at the top of the grandstand in turn 10.

There's an article on Racer about Power and Pag, from being teammates at Team Australia in ChampCar to being teammates and title rivals at Penske almost a decade later. Makes me realize how time fucking flies by, shit I'm old.

I know we've followed this thing all this time, but trying to think outside of the box, which one of us would have thought about this happening...

Exactly like Brad Keselowski went I saw him win his first race back in 09 then he wins the Championship in 2014 man it feels like a week
