Such a fucking gut check. Wilson was one of the last drivers I interviewed when I went to Iowa. He was as nice then as he was when I first met him back at Indy qualifying in '08.

I remember quite clearly in Autosport when reporting on the passing of Colin McRae that they used an old movie line to sum up the bitterness and tragedy of him and Richard Burns being lost in their primes.

That line popped into my head again when I heard JW hadn't made it. After losing Dan Wheldon it just seems awfully unfair. Motorsport has been tremendously cruel these past few years. That movie quote definitely sums this up too.

'Those weren't just recruits we lost out there - those guys were the best we had'.

Sad, just sad. :(

Thoughts & prayers to his family and everyone involved with IndyCar.

One more lost for racing. We were recovering from Bianchi's death, and we lost a great driver, for a infamous accident.
Rest In Peace Justin, we'll never forget.

2015 is a infinite sadness for a motorsport community.

One of the best memories I have of Justin Wilson is in his Formula One debut at the 2003 German GP. Whenever I saw him on track that weekend I imagined how hard it was for him to get there.

Been watching Justin Wilson since 2003 with Minardi, then Jaguar. Such a great guy, it always happens to the good ones. RIP.

We got away with that for too long.
Remember the Conway crash in Indy? I think it was Helio and RHR that got almost hit by conways gearbox or some other big debries parts.
Its the least avoidable kind of accident.

RIP Justin

Just woke up to get to work in time. Now I'm going to be late.

I remember during the race when commentator said something like "who ever put Justin Wilson back to Indycar was brilliant, he's being great today." and I got a similar weird feeling than during the Dan Wheldon's last comment "great way to go out".

Rest in peace, Justin.
