is it just me or is IndyCar just uploading the 2000 seasons for both CART & IRL

They've done the Mickyard, Phoenix & Homestead as well

A super-rare Sunoco commercial starring "The Captain" from 1968.

Tagliani's spin in this race is gold.

"Sit and wait for a caution? Nah, I'll just do an epic burnout/smokescreen combo and cause an unnecessary pileup."

One of the best ovals to have ever existed. Shame they didn't run there in 2001.

And of course...it's a damn shame the track no longer exists...

I wish the earthquake didn't kill the oval

One of the best mile & a half oval tracks imo

Current cars are fun as hell on iRacing, can't imagine how insane the land rockets of CART was there

You can see they'e going through 2000 in order as if it was a united Indycar series back then, as during the Nazereth race they talked about Montoya and others needing to head back to Indy for the 500 the next day

Still, to live up to my tradition: Bleh, IRL cars, boring, easy to drive ugly shits :yuk:

I was there for the 2000 race at Nazareth. I remember tapping my Dad on the shoulder when Helio went underneath Blundell and saying, "That ain't gonna work."

Random find while going through the Internet Archive. Probably the oldest find thus far in this thread:

NBC Radio coverage of the start of the 1939 Indianapolis 500

incredible find!

In terms of the oldest clips in the thread, I think this the oldest of the 500's posted to this point - overall of the thread is of the Springfield race from 1934
