As an aside, seems like another bad luck race for Pippa Mann - two cut tyres and almost caught in the turn 4 wreck. Still, she was running at the flag and is $8,000 over the 50k target for her fundraising.

And that's important. There are injuries, but I don't think anyone's gonna lose a life.

Not to be THAT guy who kills such a great buzz, but what is the latest on the more severe of the injured crew members? Seems to have been lost in what was a finish for the ages.

That race was Juan for the record books.

Seriously though, the last 3 years have had incredible racing start to finish. Bravo.

DCN reported on Twitter that the worst-injured mechanic is having scans on his ankle.

Is this the biggest gap between wins here?

Yes. Old record was Foyt at 10.

Montoya has biggest gap between two wins but Al Unser Sr. still has biggest gap between first and last win (17 years).

he still can try to tie that one on the 101st and yet equal the record

being the 3rd to win the 4th driving for Roger Penske

Looks like that could have beeen from my webcam as well.

Aweseome race today and a well deserved win for Juan. Coming from 30th and pass all these cars on track to finish 1st is one helluva achievment. Never imagined to celebrate Montoya wins after his contract ended with Ganassi anymore. So happy about this and I enjoy every single good race knowing that retirement is near.

IndyCar had a great show on display today. Hopefully they won some more fans.

That's very good news all things considered. Thank you

Pretty decent Indy 500: great winner, great podium, and a relatively clean race after a tumultuous couple of weeks. Thought JPM made his move too early, glad to see he knew what he was doing.

Apparently the only position in 500 history that hadn't been won from before today was 15th! :whistling:

Saw a note on Motorsport.com that Saavedra just has a contusion on his right foot. Hopefully he'll be fit to race next weekend.
