after a 3 or so hour weather delay, cars being rolled out of their garage stalls towards pit lane. Could be green in 20 minutes

So what do you all expect to see this year? JPM mentioned the aero is more efficient, thus the tow is weaker but you can follow more closely in the corners. Anyone think this will make the racing better or worse? Will the higher speeds make things more treacherous or is it negated by the aero efficiency?

I just want to see fast racing and not yellow finish. After dissapointing NASCAR Superspeedway races, that's all I want :P

Yellow finishes are natural in plenty of contexts. They're disappointing but not everything needs to be catered toward society's short attention span, instant gratification, fabrication-loving wants.

I always worry that extra aero will make it more difficult to follow in the corners, but if they're easily flat out then it might not be so much of an issue. Indy always has a special feel, so I think it will be an enjoyable race.

They're not flat that much anymore. Only during qualifying and only those with the balls to keep their foot in it. The car has to be perfect in the race to hold it flat. Now, with that said, if the tow is weaker but they can hang with each other in the corners... Hard to say. I expect it to be more like it was back in the early 90's. You have to work to pass someone. Good cars always go to the front. The past couple of years it's been hard to stay there though since the draft made the race like the CART Handford races. That will probably go away. Fewer lead changes but more cars in the hunt. Guys like Dixon, Kannan, Montoya and even Rahal who work on their cars all day to get them right at the end should be rewarded with a shot at the Borg Warner Trophy if they can stay out of trouble for the first 150 laps.
