Don't mind ditching the standing starts as long as the field stays aligned (or actually gets lined up right for once) before the green.

I liked the 500 milers being double points. They're traditionally harder to win and with the Fuzzy's Million it put more on offer. Don't care so much for the finale being double points.

Good riddance to standing starts!

In all my time of watching rolling starts in Indy/Champ/IRL, this never happened.

They're too paranoid about a first corner accident so it's usually the first 2 rows aligned, THATS GOOD ENOUGH, away we gooooo!!

The fact the second half of the field are still warming their tyres on the warm up lap doesn't seem to matter.

A shame we're losing standing starts, I liked the extra challenge they presented, so long as they were never going to take over the rolling starts on RC races completely, I thought they were cool.

Does the double points changes affect the triple crown btw? Is there still a seperate mini championship for Ovals and Road courses?

I think the split wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad had the 25/8 rule not been in place. That was the real killer.

In an Autosport article it mentions that Ganassi will announce it's plans for the other cars shortly - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117107

Some more info on the aero kits: http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/11218 ... ro-kit-q-a

"It’s certainly not going to be a spec car, and it’s not spec even within the Chevrolet or Honda environments.

The Chevy might not always run in exactly the same configuration between a Penske and Ganassi car, and the same with Honda between, say, an Andretti and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports car because teams will have options."

The article goes more in-depth on how teams can really mix-and-match parts and winglets to suit the driver or the track, and they can even change out parts between qualifying and the race.

Now all we need to do is lower the downforce, crank up the power, bring back road America, Cleveland and laguna seca, make the damn things look better, bring back Paul Tracy and invent a time travel dallara to take us back to the 90s when it hits 88mph.

Too much to ask? :p

The 90's were good for racing, but I lived through it. Too bad you missed it.
