Worst thing was they kept replaying the crash and it looked worse every time they did so, so glad they don't do that any more.

The US television broadcast didn't show any replays of the crash at all.

In all my years of watching racing, I have seen exactly 1 replay of that crash on TV and that was on RPM2Night that Sunday. No replays in the race, no replays on any other news outlet, no replays on TV since then.

Will never forget that one.

I was watching live on TV too. One of those where you knew as soon as it happened. My Dad was in another room at the time and wondered what the shouting was about and I remember saying bluntly, I just watched a man die. :( RIP Greg

Eurosport showed one replay inadvertanty while the USA was on an ad break, the producer forgot and queued up and run a replay, without realising it was still broadcast in Europe, that was the only replay I ever saw during the broadcast, it was quiet obvious what the end result was going to be.

I too, only say the crash once, on Eurosport during the race. I was 13 at the time, and I remember going to my dad who was in the shower, telling him Greg had a crash, and it's really bad, then going straight to bed, knowing the outcome, and not caring about the rest of the race.

Yep. Very rarely have I ever seen a wreck where you just knew. Hope I never see another one.

I think it's safe to say Marco will return to...Andretti Autosport. RHR is confirmed for 2015 also.

Yeaa, don't see Marco going anywhere else. It's a case of if Munoz stays and Abt joins them.

I watched this race back in the days channel 5 had the races rerun in the middle of the night. This was pre Internet where my motorsport news was only from teletext and autosport. I knew straight away it was fatal, think apart from senna it was the first fatal I'd seen. The fact the paper the day after had a snippet in telling of it told you it was bad as us sports never get mentioned unless something bad happens. Eg the hoohaa when wheldon died.

Except someone's jammed the vibrancy and contrast of that photo up so it wouldn't be that green in real life, but still cool to see

Reminiscent of Portland, especially turns 6,7,8 and the final complex of turns.

Someone took one too many liberties with the "Levels" feature in Photoshop.

I'm hoping to go to that New Orleans race. I haven't gotten my tickets yet, but I'll be getting them in the near future. Looks like a fun track.

The track is short enough they don't need that loop from turn 1 to 6 just use the whole straight for some tast slipstreaming

That's good. I like valsecchi. He's pretty fast and has a swagger about him, bit cocky in a entertaining way.
