Its more likely to be MotorsTV's fault than Indycar, Motors have broadcast all sorts of wierd and wonderful things over the years. I'd be interested in seeing it if anyone can upload it.

Yep, I was referring to MotorsTV not Indycar. They're true petrolheads but are prone to broadcasting goofs.

Biggest change is Indianapolis 500 qualifying will be on ABC, not NBCSN.

Also of note, Mark Miles is looking for the Middle East, South Africa and India as potential markets to attract. Says got to have right partners. I say prepare for a worst case scenario, like a race at Bahrain.

IndyCars at Bahrain would make a show we would not forget for a long time. Bernie would ban Indycars for life on F1 tracks :p

Wow that sucks. Tagliani has proven he doesn't bring anything special to the field nowadays and Briscoe is just an average Joe who got too many chances (Penske/Ganassi).

I can't comment on the RACER article, but the Autosport article only links Ryan Briscoe (it mentions Sergio Perez has shown interest). There is no reference to Tags being lined up to replace Dario, rather it mentions that he was used as a sub for the final race and also as a Chevy reference for the team. Seems NBCSports are making some assumptions.

A top team needs to hire Josef Newgarden.

Funnily enough, apros pos of nothing I've just watching the Vancouver CART race from 2000.

Tags was amazing that weekend, managed to wreck 5 other cars and not himself....
Hilarious.

Would like to see some of that action in 2014 plz Alex! :p

No lights at Indy - but rather - the apron

Sigh... So, how do they put the apron back and somehow not allow the Indycars to run on it? I mean that as a literal question. How the hell are they going to police that in the 500? Penalties for going below the line?

I can sort of understand why they don't want the Indycars going down there (see 1992 Indy 500 and the grocery list of guys taken to Methodist as a result of head on impacts) but I would the SAFER barrier takes most of those issues away or at least seriously mitigates them.

I am really confused by this as well. I also am interested to see how the apron looks. Will it be basically identical to the 1992 layout, or will they just make the grass between the pit warmup lanes narrower?

Probably. And you'll have someone getting screwed like Regan in 2008 Talladega.

Can they use temporary astroturf in May only? Like having a pie and eating it too kinda way.

I would think they would use removable rumble strips

Both Honda and Chevrolet will build aero kits for 2015.

Briscoe joins Ganassi.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
