How many times has a one lap dash not ended up in a total clusterfuck?

1997 Pepsi 400...1993 Winston 500...those were NASCAR plate races I know but shit never works out when you group up the field with a lap to go and tell 'em "Have at it".

If they race to the finish line, that would be awesome. But with 1 to go, that's a lottery seriously.

Not the right way to do it, Indycar needs to review their rules of the red flag.

I feel for O’Ward there. I can’t disagree with what he said/felt.

If I was Ericsson I'd go as soon as possible. Like halfway down the backstretch. Everyone's been going so late that'd probably get him the jump

Backstretch is, well, a stretch, but the middle of 3 would be smart.

Passing the pace car worked out well in 1995 :whistling:

It's almost as if the stewards are asking the same thing every fan has wondered at least once:

"What would happen if someone hit the pylon?"

Someone's cold tyres is gonna cause a lame spin at the back and it's gonna be so underwhelming, count it lol

Ericsson's only chance is if JNew and Sanducci crash into each other.

Nice finish, somehow!

Ericsson almost had it... He did the right thing by jumping the restart but Newgarden reacted well.

New winner, I'm okay with that.
