That last run was disappointing. Looked just like the most frustrating of the IRL days: leader can white line it without worry and the driver in second can’t do much. Good race otherwise.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I think the drivers can get a much bigger run with these cars. It's just that the top two had gotten themselves side by side. Would have been interesting to see how it would have played out.

Well, looks like they finally got a good package for Texas, and as a Brit, it's nice to actually see this race for once and not starting at 1:30am on a Sat night

Watch them promptly cancel the race forever more now, justindycarthings ;)

Poor POW though, never seen such dominance not end in a win without a mechanical failure or crash or something, I guess he'll be cursing Indycar's wave around rules, which seem as artificial as most motorport series' rules but don't seem to get as much sledging, for some reason

Best race of the day though, easily.

That was a damn good race... At the beginning and end. The middle 100 laps or so were sleep inducing.

wasn't expecting that second groove to work as well as it did. Props to INDYCAR for getting the entire field to do a second lane session again.

overall a good race honestly for Texas - especially the pit strategy on the long runs (which can only be found in INDYCAR & Modifieds; as everything else has pre-scheduled yellows or doesn't do live stops anyway).

Illott & Power both pretty damn lucky that they didn't have a huge crash - between Illott pulling the Days of Thunder card & Power flying by sweeper trucks on the outside under yellow

I do worry if they went too far on downforce levels though, sure the racing was better but at times felt too far in the other direction (as what @

was saying). Maybe the colder weather with the storm system amplified it like Fontana 2015 though in that sense; where as it will be more spread out on a hotter track temp (then again, already felt like the short runs at IMS were too packed up (see: last year's in regulation GWC) too)
