Assuming it'll just be another single file PJ1-fest. At least I won't have to stay up until 2am to watch it this year |

More attempts will be made to try and make the second groove useable. https://racer.com/2022/03/14/indycar-ex ... on-issues/ |

even if the stain from the PJ1 wasn't there, it would still be single groove imo |

They could easily get the second groove working but they don’t want pack racing so they won’t add the downforce needed. |

Dam, just realised this isn't a night race, and they're running it midday on a Sunday?? I always looked forward to the night race on a Saturday, that way I could actually watch it |

Adding downforce is cheating, and just results in foot to the floor, hug the white line boredom for the drivers I'd much prefer to watch drivers being challenged by their cars than 90% of a pack race which is dull until the final 5 lap run to the line where one guy noses ahead of the other by an inch or so (but if it had been the lap before it'd be exactly the same result as the cars are trapped side by side and just holding their lines) At least in NASCAR you have the push from the car behind and bump drafting to make things interesting, you can't do that in Indycar... Low Downforce, high power is how racing cars should be. Pack racing needs the opposite and is artificial as fuck |

I don’t get the criticism. Seems like a decent idea to me. I’m sure the drivers will do it at a controlled pace. |

Sky aren't showing the race live. F1 post-race stuff takes priority, obviously . |

pimmy wrote: Sky aren't showing the race live. F1 post-race stuff takes priority, obviously . I mean the schedules I've seen, with any kind of SC period or anything like that, the F1 race will still be on by the time Indycar takes its green Also considering Indycar is in Texas, it feels like it must be running about 10am over there or something stupid just to avoid whatever sports is taking place in the American afternoon/evening So in short this feels like an Indycar thing, you can't expect Sky Sports F1 to cut out their F1 coverage for a more minority interest As much as I love Indycar and any actual racing over speculation and analysis, Indycar has created this issue |
