Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Lundqvist is currently stuck as Honda won't provide an extra engine lease for a 2nd DCR\HMD car.

The last Silly Season update before the offseason.

https://racer.com/2022/09/09/pruett-ind ... a-edition/

tl;dr

-Herta is expected to stay at Andretti. (events since have now firmed this up)
-Floyd has been linked with Malukas, but he is locked into a 2-year contract and Coyne will not let him go early. Less certain is the future of the other Coyne driver - Sato might stay for another year, he might scale back to the 500 only, or he may retire.
-One proposal for Sato's future that has since fallen by the wayside came from Andretti - a one-season swap with DeFrancesco going to Coyne. But Andretti ultimately decided to stick with their current driver.
-Lundqvist has several paths - if Sato does step away, that leaves a nice hole for him to fill. Other teams may also be interested. But if no opportunity arises in Indycar, Honda are willing to place him in Super Formula for a year until more Indycar options open up. This Lights-to-SF excursion will almost certainly happen regardless, as Matt Brabham is being tee'd up as plan B if Lundqvist does find a seat on the eastern side of the Pacific.
-2 teams have reached out to Ricciardo, and 1 to Vettel. No word on any reciprocation of interest on Ricciardo's part, and there was none on Vettel's.
-SPAM's option on FRosen expires on the 30th September. He fully intends to stay in IndyCar and is buying a house in Indianapolis, which nixes any idea of returning to Formula E. Should the option expire, there are several teams that would be interested after a strong rebuilding season; Andretti, Juncos and RLLR are mentioned.
-SPAM are unlikely to have a resolution on Palou any time soon, and face some difficult decisions; if they trigger Felix's option and Palou wins in court, they will be a driver heavy. But if they don't trigger the option and Palou loses, they will be a driver short.

Which naturally leads to FRosen staying where he is as well.

Somehow Palou also joins McLaren's F1 test team.

They probably met halfway, as there was little chance he'd go F1 racing next year

Some more meat on the bones from Pruett - https://racer.com/2022/09/14/pruett-the-fever-dream/

Of particular interest is the fact that Brown did in fact see Palou's Ganassi contract, and that there was a clause in the original Ganassi contract which would allow Palou to negotiate elsewhere if he rejected a new Ganassi contract. Ganassi were about to fall into that trap until they were tipped off at the last minute.

Kiel is going to work for his stepfather (Mike Hull, not Floyd) at Ganassi. Top of the pile to replace him at SPAM is apparently Brian Barnhart.

The whole series is brilliant. I think I've never seen a (half way popular) youtube series by pretty much celebrities, who just decided to not give any f*ck at all and just sticked to it.
