Def need to move the restart zone, the amount of times I saw cars almost piling into the back of eachother on the other restarts I was like :slaphead: :slaphead: :slaphead:

Ratings aren't gonna be out until tomorrow, but apparently, the race attracted more viewers on NBCSN than the NASCAR race at Nashville Superspeedway.

The race wasn't as terrible as some made it out to be. Frustrating? Sure, and I get that. But once they got the memes out of the way, it was fairly decent. There are lessons to be learned for next year (since it's on a 3-year contract with an option for 2 more), and I can't wait to see what those changes are.

And yeah, the driving standards need to be reviewed for all involved. Comical amateur hour at its finest.

And: You can very easily trigger that as the leader by going fast and then bunching them up again. Being a dick it's actually a great strategy: Get into the lead somehow and then prevent the race from restarting until it ends.

Not exactly the best race for Indycar to have had this happen for lol, I do wonder if the fact the race was run around prime time TV viewing helped

Or maybe that's just the kind of racing that attracts more viewers (I imagine people getting wind of the crazyness during the red flag over social media and switching on their TVs to see for themselves also helped. Then the race getting going again and keeping their attention)
and the fuel saving passless fuel strategy shit is what has been driving them away? :?

Races were honestly more like this in the height of the CART era TBF.

I think we're still recovering from the split, so there haven't been fans to be driven away  , but even with the fuel saving stuff, racing has still been excellent in general
