I'm surprised they allowed it for as long as they did.

Then geo got one of his accounts nuked while showing Formula E so guess it was only a matter of time.

I love Indycar but it does seem as if it's getting more and more difficult to overtake. Some tracks lend themselves to better racing, and sometimes tyre wear helps, but there have been a few poor races this year. Is the aero kit too reliant on clean air? Obviously it's nowhere near as bad as F1 wings, but still tough to get close enough.

typical Mid-Ohio honestly IMO (and even then it was better than what it was a few years ago)

Two Words:

Fuel Saving

When they have a late race yellow or some other circumstance that means they suddenly run full rich, suddenly it's a barn burning race and they can run close and pass each other without problems

If a race runs green, they all back off and save fuel.

AOWR has always been like this on most road courses. It's a real pity and there's nothing really that can be done other than making races shorter or longer to eliminate the fuel issue.

The cars are fine for the most part. Maybe a little aero push but nothing out of control.

What's annoying is that even when you have race lengths that determine pit strategy for everyone that eliminates the need to save fuel, you STILL end up seeing them running around saving fuel, because they're concerned about a yellow changing pit strategy, or trying to get an extra lap clean air during pit stop cycles. They're absolutely addicted to saving fuel and can't quit.

I think they should only be allowed two fuel maps: full rich and full save (for yellows).
