It isn't exactly a surprise, as I've heard this before, but Cody Ware?

Guess the Rick Ware to IndyCars rumour from few weeks back carries some value?

I wonder if the second Coyne entry won't use Ware's traditional NASCAR primary number #51?

David Land has said that, contrary to Pruett's reporting, Coyne will expand to 'around 2.5 cars', with Grosjean and James Davison sharing the #19, and the Rick Ware car being an addition for Fittipaldi and Cody Ware.

One way or the other, it should all come out next week.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Land was right. The #19 becomes the #51 and there will be a part-time #52.

I really hope Grosjean and Fittipaldi come over next season. The field hasn't been stacked with this many big names since the 90's it feels like. I know not all these guys will be full time, but Grosjean, Fittipaldi, Rossi, Sato, Bourdais and Montoya all have raced in F1 at some point. Johnson's a 7 time nascar champ, McLaughlin 3 time V8 Supercar champion and the reigning Formula E champion seemed interested in a ride too. It needs to be April 18th already! :D

How many cars are we up to now?

Looks like we're in for another great indycar season to be won by Dixon this year

Assuming that Carlin contract someone to complete the 3 ovals that Chilton won't do, there will be 24 full-time cars.

Several teams are testing at Sebring tomorrow. Oliver Askew is on standby for Andretti in case Hinch is unable to make the trip

-

on a lesser note:

Robin Miller was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America (presently located at Daytona - inside the former Daytona USA fan event center)

For those interested, there are currently 28 confirmed car-driver combos for the Indy 500, which should rise to 30 when Coyne\Ware's drivers are unveiled.

I assume engine settings and tire are obvious, but Im interested in seeing what mods have to be done it. I hope the team does some behind the scenes videos on the build.

with the entire hillclimb being paved, I figure a team could just put the gearing in for like Indy Road and a street circuit suspension setup - then send it from there?

IndyCar should go back to Pikes Peak Raceway. The Denver area has no races in any series.
