Curt Cavin believes that the first driver to be confirmed at Coyne will be Grosjean, who (he says) has agreed to bring $3 million. No word on if the deal includes ovals or not.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Any ideas on why Ferruci moved from a decent Indycar seat where it seemed like his career was on the up, to an Xfinity team no one's ever heard of? Anything more than money?

I wonder if the broadcasters will keep sucking his balls like the NBC crew used to

Either his backing has run out and he's gone Allmendinger, finding the lure of being paid to run XFinity more of a lure than a compettitive open wheel ride, or he just really really wants to race nascar
Which is odd, for someone who was on the F1 ladder until he was thrown off it.

The thing is, in F2 and Indycar, he's more famous for his off-track behaviour than his performance on it

In NASCAR, that kind of thing will be just another Tuesday, so he'll have to do the talking with his driving more than his off track antics.
It's sink or swim now, basically.
Any of his usual antics and he's going to be fenced harder than he tried to on the online Indy 500

One of Pruett and Miller wrote a while ago that Cly-Del were not going to fund Ferrucci beyond the end of last season. And if Cavin is right and the going rate for a seat (that may not even include the Indy 500) is $3 million, then funding a backmarker xFinity ride will be cheaper.

--------------

As promised, the other pieces have started to fall into place, with RHR back in the #28.

Totally agree, it's really super offensive and disgraceful that people might want to be considerate towards others. Humanity is on the way out when we start respecting differences :x

It's as if a lot of societies and groups have started moving towards more tolerance, more inclusion, and putting in question the status-quo or traditions that may result in inequalities. Truly a plague of our times that is infecting every website and every group, we can't say anything hurtful or demeaning to anyone anymore without being called out on it.

Yea, and some point you've gotta realise you don't quite have what it takes, it's odd because he was actually pretty decent when he first joined the series

+1

I don't think he ever was quite comfortable with the pressures of being an Andretti. He's a shy kid who wanted to be in the background. Whenever he got to a good place mentally, he could shine, but the pressure mounted on him, especially as social media got a bigger thing.

Well that's too bad but it's for the best. Always liked Marco. He's definitely a nicer person than Michael or Mario.

Herta got that one, but Hinch looks set full-time in any case. Marco's #98 will not have any other driver in it, it'll be a part-time car this year. So Askew is not in question.
