Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Somehow I won't be surprised if Ferrucci ends up at AA next season

Hinchcliffe is having a terrible season and RHR is simply too old at this stage. These two should be shown the door.

Andretti was interested in him for this year but he couldn't find the budget.

Anyway, something that is definitely in Ferrucci's future is another go around in the #45 at Mid Ohio.

That would be interesting. He might end up with at least one team mate who doesn't like him too much and is not afraid to say that.

Grosjean would be perfect at Andretti. Ferrucci would crash and burn together with the team, no one has any respect for him there.

Pruett on Silly Season; https://racer.com/2021/07/02/pruett-mid ... on-update/

tl;dr

-Some of the older drivers may be tempted by the new sportscar regulations (more manufactures = more money = bigger salary).
-Grosjean is the driver most in demand, with Andretti at the front of the queue. He would replace RHR whilst RHR moves to a part-time 5th car.
-If Hinch is replaced, it would have to be by someone bringing money. That someone could be Alex Albon.
-Pagenaud could stay with Penske for a year before being eased into a Porsche, or he may return to SPAM.
-Ryan Norman wants to do more races with Coyne\Ware this season before upgrading to a full-time seat next year. Ed Jones is not guaranteed to stay either.
-Harvey is probably going to stay with Shank.
-Carlin are intending to stay around, as is Chilton, and it is hoped the de-mothballed Indy Lights team will act as a pathway for younger drivers to move up with them. First in line is Alex Peroni, probably for 2023.
-Other Lights drivers are being considered more widely - Lundqvist is popular as he has sponsorship. Kirkwood, Malukas and DeFrancesco may also be promoted, for next season or the one after.

schedule updates for 2022:

Roger eyeballing around 17 to 18 races, wants more ovals and date equity for the bulk of the schedule
https://racer.com/2021/07/05/indycar-ey ... -for-2022/

speaking of date equity, multi-year extension has been reached with Road America

So that'll break the car count record that Nashville was going on about? :8:
