Just listened to Marshall Pruetts Listerner Q&A Podcast and really have to wonder why he hates David Land so much...

Not *quite* back on yet, the dates are tentative pending government approval from what I can see. We'll see what happens.

I would assume it's because David is a YouTube influencer and has been given access that normally only the "legit" media gets. I've gotten the feeling that MP is not the only one of the establishment who feels like that.

I've also picked up the vibe from an IMSA group that MP himself is not that well liked.
Also, maybe Robin Miller made a snide comment about DL to MP. Marshall seems to cling to his every word.

So, prickly print vet takes out frustrations on new media kid.

Again, just my speculation but it fits.

The one after the 500. David said on youtube that he believes one factor that lead to the low ratings was how little coverage there was in the mass media on the days leading up to it and Marshal understood (or more likely wanted to understand) that the jpurnalists covering it did a bad job. Which he didnt say. Actually he said the opposite. Marshall didn't mention his name (just Moron) but im 100% certain he was referring to this.

David Land makes a fair point, though.

I like that guy, usually listen to his videos and I follow him on Twitter. He´ll end up being a respectable voice in the IndyCar media circuit. If he doesn't burn his bridges though.

Me too. I happened to sit right behind him at last years Indy 500. We had a good chat all through the race. Was like drinking a beer with a friend (we did have beer). Completely normal behaviour and genuinly nice.

I don't doubt his passion for the sport but what I don't like about the guy is that he always seems to be a bit to confrontational and dramatic, rather than trying to make friends. At least in my opinion

To debut at age 45 and then as a Nascar driver only do the street and road courses. Two things that I find bizarre about this.

I just hope that he has a decent ride, to see what he's able to do.

I expect him to reconsider the Indy 500, after the Aero Screen has proved to be very effective, so far.

And yeah, this could be a lot of new eyeballs in the series.

tl;dr it's better than expected - Foyt is positive about keeping Kimball and Kellett and depending on money may introduce a third car for partially-funded drivers to share. Andretti still wants 5. SPAM will keep their pair and want to add the part-time car that Alonso should have driven at the end of this season. Carlin are planning to expand back to 2 cars based upon the interest they have had from drivers. If the Johnson deal comes together and the two Swedes keep their funding then Ganassi will look for an oval driver (in JJ's car) to put 4 cars on the track at every race. DCR will stay the same unless someone else signs Palou first. Special Ed is looking to move himself into a third car for the ovals and leave Daly in the #20 full-time. Meyer-Shank are proactively looking for a second driver to run part-time. RLLR will be unchanged unless Sato chooses to go elsewhere, and Penske is putting together the money to run McLaughlin in a 4th car, with the other 3 drivers already confirmed.

If all of that comes off, that equals 26 full-time cars and 4 part-time cars.
